10 Oct 44 - Embarked from Fort Lawton and arrive in Guam on 9 Nov 44; stationed at Suprad Camp of Fleet Radio Unit of the Pacific near Finegayen. Conducted intercept and direction finding operations on Iwo Jima, Saipan, Ngeseleus Island, and Okinawa, in addition to Guam.

August 45 -8th RSM transferred to Vint Hill Farms, Virginia, where it became a nonoperational, paper pipeline organization for the Army Security Agency. (End of War)

24 May 48 -Used as a "holding" squadron for personnel selected for assignment to the Air Force Security Service.

23 Feb 49 -Transferred to Department of the Air Force and USAF Security Service.

23 Feb 49 -Moved to Brooks AFB, Texas and continued to function as a personnel processing squadron until 12 October 1950.

1 Jul - 30 Sep 50 -Continued as a casual holding squadron and operated a Processing and Receiving Section.

1 Sep 50 -Designated as an intercept training school with 10 intercept positions and one trick-chief console position.
