CLAYTON, Helen C/N Helen Clayton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Clayton, Cotton Valley, graduate of Cotton Valley High. Entered Cadet NC, 1944, trained at Charity Hosp., Shreveport, La. Served in USA.

CLEMENS, Herman A. 3/c Cook Herman A Clemens, son of Mrs. Rosa Frazier, Minden, husband of Gurthie Robertson, attended Minden High. Entered Navy, 1943, trained in San Diego. Served in APO. Discharged in 1945.

COFFEE, Grady L. Capt. Grady L. Coffee, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Coffee, Minden, husband of Martha Easley, graduate of LSU. Entered Army AC, 1941, trained in Midland AAF, Boise, Idaho and Walker Field, Kan. Served in Amer. Theater. Killed in B-29 crash in Walker Field, Kan.

COLE, George D. Sgt. George D. Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Cole, attended Minden High. Entered Army, trained at Camp Livingston, La., Sheppard Field, Texas and Camp Luna, N. M. Served in India, China and Burma.

COLEMAN, Roger E. Cpl. Roger E. Coleman, son of Mrs. Myrtle Anderson, Springhill, attended Bastrop High. Entered Army, 1942, trained at Ft. Jackson, S.C., Camp Blanding, Fla., Camp Forest, Tenn. and Camp Atterbury, Ind. Served in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Awarded 3 Battle Stars, Combat Med. Badge, Bronze Star, Commendation Ribbon. Wounded in Battle of St. Lo, France, 1944. Discharged in 1945.

COLEMAN, Harold W. Ptr 3/c Harold W. Coleman, son of Mrs. Myrtle Anderson, Springhill, attended Springhill High. Entered Navy, 1942, trained in Norfolk, Va. Served in Newfoundland, Hawaii and Philippines. Awarded Expert Rifleman Medal. Discharged in 1945
