The Whereabouts of Our Bucks County Soldiers.—

The 104th Regiment sailed from Alexandria on Monday

for Fortress Monroe, at which place they arrived safely

late on Tuesday evening, remaining on shipboard over

night.  Next morning they disembarked, and immediate-

ly marched to Newport News, where at last accounts they

were encamped.  Their encampment was in the midst of

a beautiful pear, peach and apple orchard.  The peach

blossoms were in bloom, and the weather was delightful.

Occasionally the enemy would fire a shot or shell from

their batteries at Sewall’s Point in the direction of the

camp of the 104th, but the missiles fell short of the mark,

and our boys were amused at the attentions shown them

by the rebels.  They are well and in fine spirits.  The

California Regiment is also in the vicinity of Newport

News.  The Ringgold Battery has started for Richmond

by land.  They left Alexandria a few days ago.  We are

not able to state where the Pennsylvania Reserves are at

the present time.  Elsewhere will be found letters from

some of the Bucks county volunteers, giving the particu-

lars of their late movements.
