The 104th Regiment.—We learn from gentlemen

who left Harrison’s Landing as late as last Wednesday

and Thursday, that the men of the 104th Regiment had

just been supplied with new clothing, woolen blankets,

shelter tents, &c., and that all hands were in a com-

fortable, condition.  They were furnished with new cloth-

ing throughout—coats, pantaloons, caps, shirts, drawers,

shoes and stockings.  The men on dress parade, in their

new suits, made quite a handsome appearance, remind-

ing them of some of their fancy dress parades at Wash-

ington last winter.  They are also amply supplied with

provisions, consisting mainly of salt meat and hard

bread.  Vegetables are much called for, but they re-

ceive only a limited quantity.  The Regiment at last

accounts mustered about 450 men fit for duty.  Col.

Davis had not yet arrived among them, and his pres-

ence was earnestly desired.  Their camp is about half

a mile from, the James river, in the midst of a pine

forest, which has been cleared of underbrush.  The men

daily go to the river to bathe, and personal cleanliness

is the order of the day.  Harrison’s Landing is the

greatest bathing place in the country, at the present

time.  Bathers frequently line the banks of the river

for miles.
