Warminster Has

Sixty Volunteers

Dec. 2 1861 — “The little

Township of Warminster has fur-

nished sixty volunteers for the

different companies now in serv-

ice.  This will do for Warminster. 

The vote rolled in the township

at the last election was 157.”

Nov. 19, 1861 — The Ringgold

Regiment is at Camp Davis, Kal-

orama Heights, near Washington. 

Knitted woolen mittens are need-

ed.

Nov. 19, 1861 — “Capt. Shel-

mire’s Cavalry is at Camp Mer-

cer, Virginia.”

Dec. 10, 1861 — There is con-

siderable anxiety in the Ringgold

Regiment - small pox has appear-

ed.  However, the men are being

vaccinated and there is no cause

for alarm.
