Simon Cameron Secretary of

War under Lincoln was a good

friend of W.W.H. Davis, com-

mander of the 104th Pennsylvan-

ia Regiment.  He was also the

owner of a newspaper in Doyles-

town called The Pennsylvania

Gazette.
