Warminster Man

is Union Delegate

Aug 27, 1861—Joseph Barnsley,

of Warminster, was a delegate

from Warminster at the Union

Meeting in Buckingham Township

on Saturday.

Resolutions were adopted at the

meeting supporting the Union. 

Speeches were made Capt. Davis

was followed by Rev. Jacob Bel-

ville, of Hartsville, who delivered

a short but stirring address.  Mr.

Belville is a patriot of the true

stamp, and his words were like

“apples of gold in pitchers of

silver.”

Sept. 3, 1861—Warminster boys

will the Keystone Cavalry under

Capt. Shelmire have arrived in

Washington after three weeks at

Trenton.

Sept. 10, 1861—Captain Warren

Marple of Warminster has re-

cruited 50 men for Col. Davis’s

Ringgold Regiment.
