Norkfolk City june 28 1865

Dear wife  I sit down this evening

to write you another letter hopeing

this will reach you soon and find

you and the Children in good heth 

I am thankful I Can state to you

I am well  I hope you may injoy good helth

when this Comes to hand  I had no

                                             the

letter since the one date june 15  I look for

? Friday or Saturday and I hope to

here you are still well  good health

above all things  to day still finds us

here in Norfolk and I dont know

how long we may have to stay  it may not

be long and it mite be a good letter 

your letter wishes to find me starting

home that you hope to see me before

long  my Dear wife I hope that God

will soon answer our desire that has

been long prayed for that I may soon

return home to my dear wife and

Children that look Anchious for me to

                      return home to them
