1 Mollie Benson - June 15,1865 1

                                                June 15th 1865

Dear Husband,

I sit down this evening to write

you another letter hoping this will reach you  I

received one last mail from you  I was glad to

hear you were well.  I have not written to you for

two weeks  I could not get any paper   I hope you

will excuse this time.  We are well this evening

and hope this may find you quite well and

starting for home  we hope to see you before long

at home  the nearer the time comes the longer

it seems to see you  the children are very

anxious to see you and so am I  if you only

get home ? ? ? need you we are getting

along very well  I got a ? of flour yesterday 

I have got wood too  we have had rainy

weather here for a few days  it looks lonely 

Betsy was here with me last night  I

did not feel so lonesome they have ? ? any

here yet there will plenty of hay this

summer and grain is heavy  I dont know

what we will do if you boys dont come home

before harvest  we are looking for you by

the 4th of July  we are trying to believe you

will be here at that time  Henry Fouse has

got home  they were very glad to see him  is seems

to me you ought to be here too  I am going to

try to walk to the furnance tommorow
