What the 91st Pennsylvania did in 1861

In 1861, the 91st was formed, and began training. Edward E Wallace began recruiting in July, and he and Edgar Gregory continued recruiting in August, September. In October, Edward E Wallace's incomplete force was consolidated with the 91st. The rendezvous was Camp Chase, at Gray's Ferry. They continued recruiting in November. The regiment was mustered into service in December, with men being transferred between companies to even the numbers out.
