Private Seymour was a member of the 38th
Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting
the enemy in North Korea on August 27, 1951. Private Seymour was awarded the
Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the
United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the
Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

mannered. I always had the feeling that he could be counted on , I played many
back yard basketball games with him. Just a neat person and role model."

I remember Marty well. We were in Miss Whiteford's home room together. He worked
at Hurst's market after school. We went out a time or two. I especially remember
going to a movie at the Fox Theatre. He was a super nice guy and it saddened me
