War on Terrorism - Timeline

September 11, 2001 - two hijacked airplanes struck The World Trade Center (New York, NY); one hijacked airplane struck the Pentagon (Washington, D.C.); and a hijacked airplane that intended to strike the White House or the U.S. Capitol crashed in grassy field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania after heroes tried attempted to stop the hijacking.
