Alexander Walker
Pvt.
/ Sgt. Alexander B. Walker
He enlisted on Sept. 12, 1861 in Brownsville Texas. His enlisting
officer was Capt. Littleton. He was 24 years old at this time. The
Cavalry paid him $ 43.60 for the use of his horse. ( There is an
indication that he had previously served in Company I of the 2nd

horse.)
On the Muster Roll of June 20, 1862 it indicates that he has
reenlisted for a period of 2 years. He was stationed near Edenburg
when he reenlisted.
The Muster Roll of June 30, 1863 states that he was transferred to
Co. C., DeBrays at Regiment.
A
muster roll of Jan.- Feb.,
1864 gives his enlistment date as March 10,1862 in Oakville, Texas. He was
enlisted by H.Hitcher. It appears that he enlisted for the duration of the war.
A pay record indicates that he was paid by Capt. Milby on Aug. 31, 1863.
On this Jan.- Feb. muster he is listed as "absent - Sick at convalescent camp since Feb. 24, 1864.
Alexander is believed to be the same Alexander Walker that
