CERTIFICATE OF DISABILITY FOR DISCHARGE
(To be used, in duplicate, in all cases of discharge on account of disability)
Private Alfred J. Dockery of Captain Capt. C. D. Mc Rae
Company ("K)" of the Second Texas Regiment of Confederate
States. Cavalry Was enlisted by Capt. Donelson
of the Second Regiment of Texas Cavalry at Escondido, Tex..
on the Twenty Fifth day of June 1862, to serve for the War.
States he was born in Montgomery, Co. in the State of Texas, is
Twenty three years of age, six feet two inches high, Dark
Complexion, hazel eyes, dark hair, and by occupation when
enlisted a Farmer. During the last two month said soldier has been
unfit for duty in the field sixty days

I certify that I have carefully examined the said Alfred J. Dockery
of Captain C. D. Mc Rae Company, and find him incapable of
performing the duties of a soldier because of Pericarditus
in which he has been under my charge for twelve months. I would respectfully suggest
that he be transferred to some Hospital Department. For he is competent to act as steward
having been acting as such in the 2nd Reg. Tex. Cav.
