Edward Ricks

Edward Ricks enlisted on Sept. 23, 1861 at Ft. Brown. He enlisted for a period of 12 months and was 18 years old at the time. His horse was valued at $ 50 and his equipment at $ 25 by the Cavalry.

Muster Roll - November 1861 - notes that he has not been paid yet.
Muster Roll - Jan. 1862 - Has not been paid yet but is paid $ 39.20 for the use of his horse.
Muster Roll - April 1862 - Present - regular pay is due.
Muster Roll - October 31, 1862. - Notes that he has reenlisted as of June 26 while stationed at Helena. He was last paid by Capt. Gary on Aug. 31. He is paid $ 24.40 for the use of his horse which is now valued at $ 120 and his equipment at $ 50.
