Emanuel Martin

Sgt. Emanuel Martin enlisted at Ft. Brown on September 23, 1861. He was 33 years old at the time and he enlisted for a 
period of 12 months. His horse was valued at $ 60 and his equipment at $ 15.

Muster Roll of November 1861. He is due pay from enlistment date and is paid by Capt. Settle.
Muster Roll of January 1862. - Absent without leave.
Muster Roll of October 1862 - Indicates that he has reenlisted as of June 26 while the unit was stationed near Helena Texas. 
His horse is now valued at $ 175 and his equipment at $ 65. He is also paid $ 24.40 for the use of his horse. It also notes that 
he is on duty in San Antonio since October 18, 1862.
