Henry Payne - Pvt. to Corporal - Henry was enlisted into the Second Texas while in San Antonio by Capt. Colin McRae.  He enlisted on October 12, 1861.

Muster Roll dated Jan. 1862 , Pd. $ 31.20 for the use of his horse and is due his regular pay from enlistment date.

Muster Roll dated April 1862 - Present, still due his regular pay.

Muster Roll of October 31, 1862 - Paid $ 7.20 for the use of his horse. 

Muster Roll of June 30, 1863 - Shows that he has reenlisted as of October 1, 1862 while in Galveston. He has enlisted for the duration of the war. He was last paid by Capt. Reeves on Feb. 28, 1863. He is transferred to Capt. Spensers unit. ( Co. I) as of May 8, 1863.

Muster Roll - Paid $ 48.80 for the use of his horse. ( Note , this document is undated but is most likely July 1863.
Muster Roll of August 1863. Listed as “ Absent without leave. “
Muster Roll of February 1864. - Discharged on Feb. 2, 1864.

There is one hospital record. It notes that he was in the hospital from October 13 thru 18. He has herpes praputialia.
