Sgt. Ira A. Harrison -  He enlisted on September 1861 at Ft. Brown in Brownsville Texas. He was enlisted by  John Donelson. He was 22 years old when he enlisted.  The Cavalry valued his horse at $ 60 and his equipment at $ 20.

The Muster Roll of January 1862 notes that he is paid $ 13.20 for the use of his horse. It notes that he was  riding a " Fort Horse" till  December 1861.

The Muster Roll of June 1863 notes that he was killed in action on June 23, 1863 at La Frouche Crossing.

There is also a medical record that notes that he was in the Houston Hospital on March 23, 1863 with the Mumps. He reported back to duty on May 2, 1863.
