James Conlin
James Conlin’s records indicate that
he came into Co. K as a Corporal and
was promoted to Sergeant before he died. The Muster Roll of
February 1864 indicates that he enlisted or was transferred on
August 1863 under the command of Capt. Mc Rae. The record shows
that he is on detachment with the horses since February 3rd.
The Muster Roll of July 1864 notes that he is sick in the hospital
at Galveston and the records of October 1864 note that he died
of Yellow Fever on September 30, 1864.
