James Harrison

Corporal James Harrison enlisted on September 21, 1861 at Ft. Brown Texas. He is 20 years old when he enlisted. The Cavalry set a value of $ 60 on his horse and $ 35 for his equipment.  

The Muster Roll of November 1861 shows that he was paid $ 34.20 for the use of his horse. He is due his regular pay from his enlistment.  The Muster Roll of October 31, 1862 notes that he has reenlisted while stationed near Helena Texas. He is paid $ 24.40 for the use of his horse.

The Muster Roll of June 30, 1863 notes that he was transferred to Col. Baylor’s regiment on May 1, 1863
