Leonard Wittiman

Sgt. Leonard Wittiman enlisted on Nov. 1, 1861 in Ft. Brown. He was enlisted by Capt. John Donelson. 

Muster Roll of Jan. 1, 1861 indicates that he was paid $ 24.40 for use of his personal horse.

February thru April 1862 - Present

October 31, 1862 Muster Roll indicates that he has reenlisted at Helena on June 26, 1862. His horse is valued at $ 150.00 and his equipment is at $ 25.00.  At that time, he is paid $ 24.40 for the use of his personal horse.

The Muster Roll of June 30, 1863 indicates that he has been paid $ 48.80 for the use of his horse and that he is absent without leave.

Aug. 1863 - listed as absent- without leave.

February 1864 Muster Roll notes that he was " killed at camp on old Caney on Jan. 1, 1864.
