Pvt. Richard Odum

Richard Odum enlisted at Oakville, Texas on Oct. 10, 1861. He was 20 years old at the time. Lt. McRae was his enlisting officer. The Cavalry set a value of $ 50 on his horse and $ 25 on his equipment.

Muster Roll of Oct., 1862 -  reenlisted at Helena by Capt. Donelson. His horse is now values at $ 90 and his equipment at $ 45. He is paid $ 24.40 for the use of his horse.

Muster Roll of Aug. 1863 - Killed in action at LaFourche Crossing on June 21, 1863.
